Western Mass Destruction Nuke Madams Back to Last Season

April 26, 2008 - The Pioneer Valley Western Mass Destruction made their way back to the Garden State this weekend to grace the Morristown Rink's sport court with their mowhaked silhouettes.

Early on in the bout, Madam's co-founder and league president Dee Licious finally succumbed to the knee injury that has been her curse since the Madams debut in 2007. Not long after Dee's demise, another Madam's jammer, veteran speed skater, Brutal LEE fell victim to a back injury that could possibly be derby career-ending.

The WMD took a quick lead and continuously punished the Madams throughout the evening, ending the pain with a final score of 122 - 44.

A portion of the proceeds from this bout were donated to the Community Soup Kitchen of Morristown. The Soup Kitchen generally serves between 125 and 275 homeless people and working poor a day; it is possible only through the generosity and caring of our volunteers.
